Town made their first ever visit to The Den at Teignmouth for a match in the South Devon Mixed Bowling League. Having lost at home to this opposition earlier, Town knew they had to improve on recent matches and they nearly pulled off a victory as the match went to the final end but the home side prevailed by just 3 shots, 47-50. Therefore The Den scored 5 league points to Town’s 3.
Keith Baston’s rink found themselves 2-7 down after 6 ends but a count of 4 gave them impetus as they won by 9 shots. Ray Lancaster’s trio was involved in a very close game which finished in a 16-all draw after the home side scored a count of 3 on the last end. On the rink skipped by Kevin Moore , Town were 6-13 down at the break when a count of 4 gave them hope, but Den scored 8 shots in the last 6 ends to win by 12 shots.
