Quiz Night March 22

Keith BastonSocial Event

Kingsbridge Town held their first event of 2024 when they held a Quiz Night at the Clubhouse. The fiendish questions were written by Sandra Brayne who also compered the evening with great style while the scores were monitored by club captain Keith Brayne. The questions covered a wide area ranging from ferroequinologists to the distance from earth to the moon to the nearest inch and the main spice in the production of cheddar cheese. Needless to say, none of these questions were answered but nobody cared very much and a lot of trivia was learned during the evening. The club was pleased to welcome a team from our friends at South Milton Indoor Bowls Club whose local knowledge gave them a head start as they won the competition overall.
Interval food was arranged by Sandra Brayne and the Chairman, Ray Lancaster thanked Sandra and Keith for making all the arrangements for a very entertaining evening.
Town will open their green for the new season at Eastern Backway on Wednesday 17 April at 6pm. There will also be practice roll-ups on the next 4 Saturdays commencing on 20 April at 2pm.
Anyone wishing to play bowls at a friendly club will be welcomed at any of the above events. All we ask is that flat shoes are worn as bowls will be provided.
