Kingsbridge Town held their first event of 2023 when they held a Quiz Night at the Clubhouse. The questions were written as usual by Nigel Deyes but he could not attend the meeting due to other commitments so the quiz was compered in uninimitable style by Sandra Brayne while the scores were monitored by club captain Keith Brayne. A bar was operated by Keith Baston and a raffle was organised by his wife, Carole.
After several recounts and much soul searching the winners were declared as the team masquerading as Up The Creek. The winning team consisted of Keith and Carole Baston, Steve and Veronica Emery and Eric and Heather Fitch.
Interval food was arranged by Sandra Brayne and the Chairman, Ray Lancaster thanked Sandra and Keith for making all the arrangements for a very entertaining evening.
Town will open their green for the new season at Eastern Backway on Wednesday 19 April at 6pm. Anyone wishing to play bowls at a friendly club will be welcomed. All we ask is that flat shoes are worn as bowls will be provided.
