Town travelled to Plymstock for a Friendly Triples match but a terrible start left them playing catch up for the rest of the game. After 5 ends the home team had opened up a 16 shot advantage at 12-28 and the lead was extended to 22-46 at the break. Despite a great fight back on one rink the final score was a disappointing 46-87.
On Keith Brayne’s rink, Town was 2-14 down after 7 ends, having dropped a count of 6 on the 3rd end but they restricted the home side to just 4 more shots as they came back to draw 18-all. Kevin Moore’s side was 6-all at the break but a run of 8 shots by the home side gave them the advantage as they won by 4 shots. Ray Lancaster’s trio was level 8-all at the break but they were restricted to just 2 more shots as the home side scored 11 shots in the last 6 ends. Tony Walters’ rink was never in the hunt as a 3-14 interval score was extended to 24 shots at the end.
