Kingsbridge Town visited Paignton for a Friendly Triples match which turned out to be a close contest. At the half way stage the home side held a 3 shot lead, 31-34 and this advantage was maintained until the final end but a poor finish cost Town the match as 5 shots were then dropped to give Paignton a win by 59-67.
On Keith Brayne’s rink a count of 5 gave them a 5 shot lead after 8 ends but the home side pulled back to lead 12-13 before 4 singles gave Town the win. Sandra Brayne’s team was leading 20-11 but 8 shots were dropped in the final 3 ends which proved to be crucial. Keith Baston’s trio was always playing catch up, 3-12 down at the break but they fought back to lose by 6 shots. Kevin Moore’s rink was involved in a close match but 6 shots were dropped on the last end and this made the difference.
