On Monday 19 June, Town travelled across Kingsbridge to Park for a South Hams Triples Match and after 2 close struggles, managed to come away with all 6 points. Town were 21-9 up at the halfway mark but Park pulled the lead back to 4 shots at the 13th end. Town then found some reserves to win by 12 shots with a final score of 38-26.
Eric Fitch’s rink held a 7-2 lead after 5 ends but Park fought back to lead 10-11 at 13 ends. Town then picked up a count of 4 and a fine shot by skip Eric converted a 2 shot deficit to a 3 shot lead as the jack was ditched on the last end. Keith Baston’s rink was 14-3 up at 10 ends but Park scored 10 shots to reduce the margin to 16-13. The last 3 ends were hard fought but Town claimed 2 singles to get past the post 18-14.
