On Saturday Town held their Annual Barbeque in glorious weather under the stewardship of Social Organiser Sue Allen. The chef was Keith Baston ably assisted by club captain David Thorne. The side dishes and sweets were provided by Sue Allen and Marion Thorne and club members too numerous to mention but well appreciated by some 40 players and guests. A bar was run by Marion Thorne and a raffle was organised by Sandra Brayne. Bowling games were supervised by Keith Brayne and Eric Fitch. The winners were Keith Brayne [who had inside information] and Carole Baston, who doesn’t normally play, but showed the players how it should be done. A great time was had by all in the sunshine and the event raised £500 for the club funds.
