After 2 narrow defeats in the South Devon Mixed Bowling league, Town was looking forward to a Friendly Match at the scenic Victoria club in Torquay last Saturday. They were to be disappointed, however, as the weather took its toll causing the match to be cancelled.
This setback was soon forgotten as the sunshine returned on Sunday when Town held their Annual Barbecue at the beautiful home of Peter and Julie Hadley in Frogmore. They proved to be great hosts, serving up a feast of smoked salmon, beefburgers and sausages which were enjoyed by all. President Keith Baston made a special presentation to captain Keith Brayne and his wife Sandra for all their efforts during the season. A raffle was organised by Carole Baston. So the weekend turned out to be a success after all.
