Town travelled to Totnes hoping for a good performance in order to retain the Trophy which the won last season. Their hopes were soon dashed as Totnes built up a 25 shot lead at 16-41 by half time and this lead was nearly doubled as they won on all 4 rinks by 46-95 giving Town a nearly impossible task for the 2nd leg in August.
