Kingsbridge Town remembered their Secretary, Tim Lewis, on Saturday. The afternoon was programmed to be Captain’s Day but Captain Keith Brayne and wife Sandra organised an event in memory of Tim with all the proceeds going to Tim’s nominated charity, Devon Air Ambulance.
A spider was held where all players bowl at the same time to a central jack. This was won by Tony Walters. A roll up was then played and the players then retired to the free bar and nibbles in the clubhouse. John Yeabsley presented a bottle of whisky and this was auctioned off and a raffle was then held to complete the event.
A grand total of £260 was raised for this worthy cause making the event a remarkable success.
