Town held a special triples competition to thank the main sponsors for the Club’s centenary. 5 teams were entered from 3 of the sponsors and a round robin was held. AGL and Southern Timber sent 2 teams and Kingsbridge Estuary Rotary Club provided one team. A great battle ensued with all teams becoming used to the conditions as the match progressed. It was a sunny afternoon and all the teams said how much they enjoyed the occasion.
The event was organised by David Thorne and cream teas were provided by Marion Thorne, Sue Allen and Joslyn Schirn. The eventual winners were AGL 2 who racked up 26 shots over their 4 matches. Everyone then retired to the clubhouse for farewell drinks.
