Town continued their current good form when they visited Marldon for a Triples Match . After a fairly even 1st half Town pulled away in the 2nd half to win by 19 shots, 57-38.
Town welcomed Mike Lidstone for his 1st match and he performed well despite finishing on the losing rink. Eric Fitch’s rink rushed out of the traps and opened up a 12-1 lead after 10 ends as they restricted the home side to just 5 winning ends, winning by 21-8. Ray Lancaster’s trio was 1-5 down after 4 ends but a count of 4 equalised the scores and they then raced away to win by 11 shots. Town’s only losing rink, skipped by Keith Baston was 2-11 down after 6 ends but a great fightback, including a count of 6, reduced the arrears to just 5 shots.
