Town was due to play Lee Moor at home on Sunday but on inspection damp areas were found on the new green after heavy rain and a last-minute decision was made to transfer the match to Lee Moor.  Town made a good start, 14-8 up after 4 ends but the home side clawed it back to lead by 3 shots at the half way break and finally prevail by 55-65.

On Town’s only successful rink, skipped by Eric Fitch, a ten shot lead was held at the break but the home side pulled a shot back in the 2nd half as Town won by 9 shots. On Keith Baston’s rink a very tight game was played but counts of 4 and 3 against gave Lee Mill the edge. On the rink skipped by John Yeabsley, Town were always struggling but a count of 5 on the penultimate end gave them hope but the hosts then scored 5 on the last end to win by 12 shots.
