Lee Moor v KTBC 18 August

Keith BastonFriendly Match, Uncategorized

Kingsbridge Town visited Lee Moor on Sunday hoping to reverse their poor run of away defeats. Several key players were missing so Town took the opportunity to introduce players to new positions. This proved to be a good policy as Town went on to win on all 4 rinks with a final score of 71-44.

Colin Baker, in only his 2nd match as skip, led his side to a 15-1 lead after 8 ends and although the home side pulled back 8 shots after the break, they held there nerve to win by 13 shots. Keith Brayne was also made skip and his rink opened up a 12-4 lead at the break but Lee Moor equalised in the next 6 ends to make the score 12-all. Town then scored 6 shots in the last 3 ends to win by this margin. Keith Baston’s rink was 5-7 down at the interval but a count of 4 gave them the lead which was held to the end. Geoff Bulbulian’s rink was also involved in a tight match that went to the wire as skip Geoff drew the final shot to win the match.
