Town travelled to Lee Moor on Sunday for a Mixed Friendly Triples Match and returned home with a fine victory by 71-52.
Roy Krywko’s rink scored a count of 5 on the 7th end to seize the initiative and two counts of 3 on the last 2 ends produced a 15 shot win. Similarly, Tim Lewis’s rink was 2-7 at 5 ends but a count of 6 on the next end provided the catalyst as the away side won by 5 shots. Keith Baston’s trio were involved in a very close contest and the match finished in a 13-all draw. David Thorne’s rink staged a great comeback from 6-14 down to lead 15-14 but 2 shots on the final end gave the home side a 1 shot win.
