Kingsbridge Town held their annual Ladies v Gentlemen match on Saturday. To balance the teams the Ladies pressganged club champion Eric Fitch to play for them but despite a brave fight by the Ladies, the Gentlemen prevailed to regain the Trophy won by the Ladies last season. The match was played in good spirit but the Ladies took retribution by refusing to make the tea!
Last season’s Pairs competition final, which was held over to this year was won by Steve Ellis and Eric Fitch, who narrowly beat Keith Baston and Steve Emery.
Members are looking forward to tomorrow, when Town hold their Gin and Jazz Evening at West Charleton Village Hall at 7pm. This is the first event of their Centenary Year and entertainment will be provided by Becky Brine and a Jazz Band.
