Town consolidated their position as leaders as they overcame Stoke Fleming in a very hard fought game. winning by 40-24 to take 6 league points.
The rink skipped by Eric Fitch was quick out of the blocks to lead 17-2 after 11 ends including a count of 5 on the 6th end and despite dropping 2 counts of 4 in the 2nd half, ran out winners by 25-11. Things looked good on Keith Baston’s rink, 12-6 after 12 ends but 7 shots in 4 ends edged the visitors in front 12-13. Town then levelled to force a last end decider and 2 shots to the jack by Keith Brayne were protected by the skip to give a 2 shot advantage.
