Kingsbridge Town played their final match of the season when they entertained Oreston. Town have been on a good run lately but on this occasion they were pipped at the post after a hotly contested contest. The visitors were just 2 shots up at the half time break, 30-32 but honours were even in the 2nd half as they held on to the 2 shot lead to win by 59 shots to 61.

Keith Baston’s rink was 6-8 down  after 11 ends but 2 counts of 5 in the next 2 ends changed the game as Town won by 6 shots. After a tight 1st half, Ray Lancaster’s trio was 10-all after 11 ends but 5 shots in the final 4 ends gave them a 4 shot win. Despite being in advantageous positions the other 2 rinks both lost.  Eric Fitch’s rink led 9-2 at 6 ends but the visitors went on a run of 11 shots to take the lead and they extended this to 6 shots by the close. Keith Brayne’s side were 10-5 up at 10 ends but  the visitors scored 8 shots in 4 ends as they also won by 6 shots.

Details:- Dee White, Tony Walters, Keith Baston won 18-12. Colin Harvey, Sandra Brayne, Ray Lancaster won 18-14. David Peters, Peter Hanford, Eric Fitch lost 12-18. Nick White, John Yeabsley, Keith Brayne lost 11-17.
