Town played host to league leaders Dartmouth in The South Hams Triples League on Friday, needing a win to replace them at the top of the table with one game each to play. The result was never in doubt as both rinks produced some great play to win by 56-16 and gain 6 league points.
Keith Baston’s rink scored a count of 4 on the 4th end to lead 8-1 and scores of 4 and 5 in the 2nd half as the visitors were restricted to 6 singles. Similarly, Eric Fitch’s trio led 15-9 after 12 ends and then scored counts of 6 and 4 to extend the lead to 19 shots.
