Kingsbridge Town continued their great start to the season as they won their 7th match out of 7 at Kingsbridge Park in the South Hams Triples League. Both rinks were very keenly contested but Town prevailed in both matches to win by 33-25 and gain 6 league points.
On Eric Fitch’s rink Town held a 13-4 lead after 9 ends when Park fought back to reduce the margin to 13-10 but 4 shots in the next 3 ends gave the Visitors the advantage. The other rink, skipped by Keith Baston was involved in a very tight match.as a 7-1 early lead was brought back to 7-8 by the home side. Town then won a series of singles to lead 14-12 with one end to play. On the last end, Town were 3 shots down but this was reduced to 1 shot by the skip but this winning position was nullified as Park skip Richard Kerswell killed the end with a perfect drive. In the extra end Town held 3 shots but the jack was again moved but a draw to the jack gave Town the narrow win.
