Gin & Jazz Night – 6 May

ScotSocial Event

The Roaring 20’s came to West Charleton with a roaring success on Saturday as Town opened their Centenary Season with a Gin and Jazz Evening  at the Village Hall. Entertainment was provided by the brilliant Becky Brine who went through her repertoire of jazz favourites backed by the Gazunder Band as members and friends danced the night away.. Gin Cocktails were available and a 2 course meal was provided. Fancy dress was the order of the day and Al Capone, Baby Face Nelson and Pretty Boy Floyd were noted attendees. Luckily they left their machine guns at home!  The evening was arranged by Events Organiser Sue Allen and Marion Thorne who with spouses Graham and David spent many hours testing the cocktails and the food with exceptional results. The Master of Ceremonies was Ray Lancaster and a raffle was organised by Carole Baston and Peter Hadley. The event was an outstanding success and £1,200 was raised for club funds.
