Town held their annual lunch at Cottage Hotel with 28 members and guests attending. All were treated to a fine 3 course meal. The event was organised by President Keith Baston. In his address the President congratulated Ray Lancaster for his fine efforts in the competitions. One year ago, Ray was in hospital after a serious tractor accident and it was doubtful whether he would play again but he proved everybody wrong. In a remarkable performance he won both the Club Championship and the pairs competition with Peter Hadley and every match was won by at least 10 shots.
The President also stressed the importance of gaining new members as it was sometimes difficult to raise a side this season. Hopefully the Captain, Keith Brayne would be available after a knee operation. Although only 2 matches were won there was a great camaraderie in the club and weekly Club Nights had been well attended.
